Paul Trimboli Medal
The Medal Itself
Paul Trimboli is the only ex-Xavier College student to have represented the Socceroos at senior level. He began his senior career at the age of 19 (and scored in his first World Cup qualifying campaign against Israel) and rounded it off 14 years later with his final Socceroo appearance against Tahiti.
At the end of 2004, the OXSC struck a medal in his honour, awarded to the OXSC player who has scored the most goals in that particular season. Paul attended the 2004 Presentation Evening and personally presented the award.
As of 2013, the highest number of goals scored in a single season is Scott Brown with 26 goals in 2013. The 2005 season saw it's first dual-winners with Anthony De Luca & James Lachal both scoring 15 goals each for the season. In the same season that the club would field a female team, Alexya Campbell became the first female winner of the medal in 2012, scoring 21 goals.
